Timpani and Harp

Timpani and Harp were loudly in love.

All knew; the orchestra was gossipy.

Whispered for hours after each symphony,

he loved the drama of her drumbeats,

she his melody. Together for a century,

till he chipped,

she sagged.

Different museums, and silence, found them both.
